Allowing a male open the door for you to pass as a lady is not weakness as some people may say, neither is it egoistical on the part of the male, its just the thing to do for a lady. Usually, ladies who have problems with their male counterparts doing simple acts of politeness for them are insecure in their own world. A woman who knows her strength and is confident of her own personality will know that nothing anyone does will reduce her worth. Her worth is not in what someone says or do to her, her worth is embedded in her person.
Many ladies are living out their lives as weak people who can do nothing but accept life as it comes, well you are reading this today, I am happy to tell you that that is not the case. Let’s see a quick case study.
There lived a woman in the bible named Deborah, the bible describes her as “…a prophetess, the wife of Lapidoth, she judged Israel at that time.” This was at a time when Israel had a strong lid on women leading men, this was a time when women where confined to raising children and cooking meals, yet at a time like this a woman chose to live life to the fullest; and she succeeded.
Though she was the obvious spiritual authority as that time, she still maintained her position as wife of Lapidoth. Her position did not interfere with her motherly and wifely duties. She balanced both fronts because she understood that strength was not in the size of the muscle but in the size of the vision. She saw where God wanted her to be, she occupied the position and was an undeniably revered authority that even the chief-of-army, Barak wanted her presence at the battle front as a sign of good will. That, ladies, is strength! The strength that cannot be denied.
Where many ladies miss it is that they try to show that they are not weak. See, just as much as you don’t have to prove to anyone that you are a female, all the signns are there, strength is not something you have to prove. Wanting to prove strength itself is weakness. Strength is something you have to live out. Imagine if Deborah had wanted to prove to Barak that she was the boss and decided not to go with him, what could have happened? The point is, it is in trying to prove strength that weakness exhibits itself.
Find what God has wired you to be, a mother like Sarah, prophetess like Deborah, wife like Abigail, sherperdess like Rebecca, whatever it is, do it with all of your might.
Never think you are weak, you are a woman of strength. There is great reserve of strength in you.
I love you.
